“Casting Shadows”
“How can I be substantial if I do not cast a shadow? I must have a dark side also if I’m to be whole” ~Carl Jung, Spencer Reid
The Museum of Ukrainian Folk Architecture and Life is an architectural and landscape complex of historical and ethnographic regions of Ukraine & is located on the southern outskirts of Kyiv, near the village of Pyrohiv.
Covering 370 acres, buildings have been reconstructed that cover, over time and space, the ethnographic history of Ukraine: churches, villages, windmills and even schools from the last three centuries.
Our visit to this beautiful picturesque outdoor-museum was a great way for us to get a feel for how folk people in Ukraine used to live.
